TENS - elektro
"TENS, or Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, means the transmission of small electrical pulses through the skin to the underlying peripheral nerves. TENS is thought to work in two different ways.
First, high frequency continuous mild electrical activity may block the pain signal traveling to the brain. Brain cells perceive pain. If the pain signal does not get through to the brain, the pain is not felt. The second way TENS is thought to work is by stimulating the body's own natural pain control mechanism; low frequency or short bursts of mild electrical activity causing the body to release it's own pain killers, called Beta Endorphins. Ask your doctor or clinician for more details.
No matter what pain theory is applied, TENS has been proven as a useful and conservative modality in pain management for many pain patients. A successful TENS therapy program enables a pain patient to enjoy a better quality of life."
Thermotex - infrarød
"Through the absorption of infrared thermal energy, tissues are safely and gently heated increasing blood flow within the treated area. Your body’s natural response to this increased temperature is to try to maintain a condition of homeostasis—a balanced environment or state of equilibrium throughout the body. To do this, your body responds with a rapid increase in blood flow to the area. Thermotex™ is the natural approach to effective pain relief."
TerraQuant - laser
Uniquely Combining Low Level Laser Therapy and Infrared Therapies with Therapeutic Red Light and Magnetic Field Generation
"Laser
is a focused light with various wavelengths. High intensity laser generates heat and is usually used in surgery, but low intensity lasers are safe, and have a positive effect on bodily tissues. They neither generate heat nor scorch, and use only light, which makes them a fast, safe and precise healing measure, with no risk or after effects, and no need for surgery, anesthetics or drugs. Laser can strengthen damages cells. Using photochemical processes, laser light inserts biophotons into damaged cells. The cells begin to produce energy (ATP), which improves their function, assists their division, strengthens the body's immune system, and causes the secretion of various hormones.
The tissues are healed, and pain disappears. If damaged cells have died, the biophotons help the division of neighboring cells, generating new tissues, and thus bring about healing."
Palmlaser - low level laser therapy (LLLT)
"Light of a low level laser does not ‘heat' the tissue. If there is a warm feeling in the treated area, it is mainly based on the increased blood flow. From studies it is known that cells, which have been radiated with laser light, produce different substances that are spread out and then circulate in the blood vessels and lymphatic system. For this reason laser light of low energy does not only has a direct effect, it also has a systemic effect."
